The First test between Sri Lanka and Pakistan concluded in a
draw on Saturday.
Pakistan were set a target of 302 run for victory with only a day left and at close of play on Day 5, they only managed to score 158 runs for the loss of 2 wickets.
Sri Lanka resumed their second innings on Day 5 on an over night score of 420 runs for the loss of five wickets.
Middle Order Batsman Prasanna Jayawardena went on to reach his fifth Test half century and scored an unbeaten 63.
Angelo Matthews, who scored a captains knock of 157 runs not out, decided to declare the Sri Lankan second innings on 480 runs for the loss of five wickets.
Pakistan chasing a target of 302 runs lost Khurrm Manzoor for just eight runs and Ahmed Shehzad later for 55 runs.
At stumps on the final day of play, Pakistan were 158 for the loss of two wickets.
