Continuing showers and strong winds expected in North and East

According to the Department of Meteorology, the low pressure

system that was located to the South East of Sri Lanka has intensified into a depressions and is located around 250 kilometres to the east of Trincomalee.

The statement issued by the department added that the coastal areas off the northern and eastern provinces will continue to experience showers and strong winds.
