Youth hit by train at Colombo – Fort Station

A person was killed on Monday morning after being run over by

train in the Colombo-Fort Railway Station.

The Police Media Spokesperson’s Unit said that the train had already begun to move from the  sixth platform when the person had attempted to climb aboard.

The twenty-five-year-old victim who sustained injury died later upon admission to the General Hospital.

According to the Police Media Unit, the train was plying to the Maradana Railway Station.
