The Tharoors were staying at the hotel as their house was being painted, Mr Tharoor’s assistant said.
At about 8.30 p.m. on Friday, Mr Tharoor returned to the hotel after spending the day at a mega-conclave organised by his party, the Congress. When Mrs Tharoor did not open the door to her bedroom in suite number 345, the minster asked the hotel staff to help him enter the room. He found her on the bed lying dead. (Sequence of events)
